Transport and distribution IT supplier SmartTrans expects to unveil within months a partner to help launch and carry its e-Solution fleet-tracking and delivery system.

SmartTrans has also completed joint development of hardware with Beijing firm Yamei Electronics and is looking to launch its handheld e-PoD GPS-enabled proof-of-delivery device, the e-Track GPS tracking hardware unit and the Multi Function Telematics Device.

The latter is designed to monitor and report vehicle performance and diagnostics with built-in navigation and real-time traffic information.

All three are now being field tested here and in China.

“SmartTrans is in discussion with a national organisation to roll out the SmartTrans e-Solution system during the coming quarter,” the Melbourne company said in its quarterly report to June.

“SmartTrans is customising its systems for operation in New Zealand and expects to launch its product offering there in the coming months.”
