Finalists announced for transport and logistics awards

Transport operator NQX will vie for top recognition in two categories at 2010 Queensland Transport and Logistics Industry Development Awards

Transport operator NQX Freight System will vie for top recognition in two categories at this year’s Queensland Transport and Logistics Industry Development Awards.

NQX has been named a finalist in the Future Leaders Award and Experience Pays Award categories, with the winner to be announced at the ceremony on August 26.

The awards are being run by the Queensland division of the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia.

NQX’s Bundaberg branch manager, Lindsay Sinclair, will compete with five others for the Experience Pays Award, including Chris Roy from BCR Australia and Rockhampton Regional Council logistics supervisor Frank Munnich.

NQX deliver and pick-up supervisor Daniel Clarke will also compete with five other hopefuls for the Future Leaders Award.

Those nominated for the prize include Ricky Liddle from stevedore DP World, QR National’s Cassandra Parisotto and a shift manager from Polar Fresh Cold Chain Services, Ashley Stephens.

The SCLAA will also present the Industry Futures Award to recognise the company, institution or organisation with a proven record in providing people with an entry to, and pathway in, the transport and logistics industry.
