A truck driver accused of stealing a prime mover and refrigeration trailer has been nabbed by police

A truck driver has been charged after allegedly stealing a prime mover and refrigeration trailer in Sydney.
Police yesterday nabbed the 46-year-old driver using the stolen prime mover to tow the trailer, which is valued at $175,000. It was carrying goods estimated at $50,000.
The trailer was reported missing about 10am on August 29 when an employee went to check on it and realised it was gone. The transport company in Sydney’s west had parked it in the yard at Clunies Ross Road, Prospect about 7:30pm on August 29.
“Following inquiries, yesterday evening police from Macquarie Field Local Area Command stopped a stolen prime mover in an industrial area at Ingleburn,” a police statement sas.
“The prime mover was allegedly stolen from Padstow and was towing the refrigeration trailer containing the stolen goods.”
The truck driver has been charged with take and driver conveyance without the consent of the owner, larceny and resisting arrest.
He will appear at Campbelltown Local Court on October 6.
