BREAKING NEWS: DAF boss quits for Paccar Parts post

DAF Trucks Australia GM Brad Wolstenholme has left his role to take up the role of GM of Paccar Parts

Brad Wolstenholme, general manager of DAF Trucks in Australia, has left his role to take up a new position within the Paccar organisation.

Speaking exclusively to ATN yesterday, Wolstenholme says the decision was not an easy one, particularly as the DAF brand is beginning to enjoy more success in the marketplace.

Wolstenholme will take over the job of general manager for Paccar Parts in July, a role he describes as “exciting”, and says he is looking forward to the new challenge. The future of current Paccar Parts general manager Ross Hudson remains uncertain.

“I am sad to be leaving DAF, especially as it is just starting to do very well; there are good people in place to continue the growth, however, the new job was too hard to resist,” he says.

With a background in the prestige car market, including senior sales roles at Saab and BMW, Wolstenholme’s appointment as DAF general manager came as a surprise to some in the industry.

However, he learnt the needs of the heavy vehicle sector and established strong links to a number of key customers.

There is no word as yet on his replacement, however, ATN understands the field of candidates will include applicants from outside the Paccar group, as well as internal options.
