March 17, 2010

Continuing their long-standing partnership, CeBIT Australia has again selected DB Schenker to provide integrated logistics support for Asia Pacific’s largest business and ICT showcase for the ninth time.

The event runs from May 24-26 and will be held at the Sydney Conference and Exhibition Centre.

CeBIT Australia features an unrivalled concentration of motivated decision-makers from industry, commerce and services - attracting more than 550 exhibitors and in excess of 30,000 professional visitors from Australia and around the world.

Since coming to the region in 2002, CeBIT Australia’s up-to-the-minute conference program and strategically tailored exhibition floor have secured its place as the must-attend event for business and government leaders to connect with potential partners who are ready and willing to invest.

As the official logistics provider and exclusive handling agent for CeBIT, Schenker Australia will arrange international air and ocean freight shipments and manage the storage of equipment during the show for exhibitors from around the world.

Both organisations are extremely confident that past successes will be built on in 2010.

Jackie Taranto, Managing Director of Hannover Fairs Australia, the government-owned entity behind CeBIT Australia, says she is assured by the involvement of DB Schenker in this year’s event.

"DB Schenker's highly dedicated and experienced event logistics services provide individual solutions to even the most demanding exhibitor. We trust in the reliability of DB Schenker’s services and look forward to another successful show in 2010," she says.

Ron Koehler, CEO of Schenker Australia, says the long-standing relationship with CeBIT shows how committed and capable both teams are.

"They truly understand that time and quick decision-making can be the essence of any trade show," he says.
