EVENT: Urban transport focus for Sydney conference

ATN OFFER: Second annual Urban Transport World Australia conference brings together authorities, policy-makers and operators

February 2, 2010

The second annual Urban Transport World Australia is where Australasia’s transport authorities, policy-makers and transport operators discuss policies for improving capacity on our transport networks and explore strategies for growing patronage, maximising operational efficiency and meeting demands for customer satisfaction.

With dedicated conference days on bus, rail and transport technology, plus a two-day plenary covering urban transport strategy and policy, Urban Transport World Australia is the region’s largest multi-modal transport forum. Over 70 leading decision-makers will be speaking, including three transport ministers from New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia and over 30 bus, rail and road operators.

On February 22, Urban Transport World Australia will host a pre-conference day called Bus Rapid Transit World Australia, which will feature case studies of BRT systems operating in Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, the United Kingdom and Ottawa. The conference provides a comprehensive overview of the latest strategies, projects, technologies and issues surrounding the growth and development of BRT.

Urban Transport World Australia also gives you the option of booking one of two conference days on MetroRail Australia or Transport Technology and Innovation.
