Police storm residence and uncover almost $1 million in stolen goods, including a dismantled truck and a refrigerated semi-trailer

A Queensland man will face court today on a number of charges after a police raid uncovered almost $1 million in stolen property.
Detectives from the heavy Vehicle Investigation Unit stormed the Loganholme residence south of Brisbane yesterday, alleging they found a refrigerated semi-trailer and a dismantled prime mover.
Acting on a tip-off from residents, detectives also claim to have found a stolen ski boat and trailer, a car, caravan, boat trailer, box trailer and tools and equipment.
Police allege the 42-year-old unnamed man stole the property from NSW and Queensland.
He will appear before the Beenleigh Magistrates Court charged with five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts each of receiving stolen property and entering premises with intent, one count of unlawful possession of a vehicle, one charge of wilful damage and one count of possessing a utensil.
Following the bust, Detective Inspector Mark Ainsworth of the Organised Crime Group highlighted the importance of community awareness.
“It is important for the community to understand that these crimes are often solved as a direct result of information they supply us,” Ainsworth says.
“Anyone who has information on a crime or suspects someone they know is involved in a crime—no matter how minor—should call Crime Stoppers.”
Police officers are currently enquiring into the ownership of the property.
