Fox retires from BOQ to focus on Linfox expansion

Peter Fox leaves Bank of Queensland to focus on expanding Linfox

November 26, 2009

Fox Group Holdings Executive Chairman Peter Fox has retired as a director at the Bank of Queensland to focus on the "strategic expansion" of Linfox.

Fox has been on the BOQ board since 2001 and has served on the bank’s budget review committee.

Fox’s retirement comes after Linfox dramatically reduced its shares in the bank earlier this year from 6.8 percent to 1 percent.

In announcing his retirement, Fox backed the bank’s current management.

"I and the Linfox Group have every confidence in the management team at Bank of Queensland and we will continue to be supporters of the BOQ brand," he says.
