EXCLUSIVE: Tim Bolam making his mark as Costa CEO, nabbing new contracts with Parmalat, Simplot
By Samantha Freestone | October 9, 2009
New Costa Logistics CEO Tim Bolam has laid out an aggressive growth strategy for the Victorian logistics group, kick-started by new contracts with Parmalat and Simplot.
Bolam reveals the warehousing and distribution deals with the companies will initially boost revenue by 5 percent.
Speaking to ATN, Bolam – who has only been in the top job since March this year after working at European 3PLs – says the contracts are the first in a barrage of new work to come as part of a new three-year strategy.
The CEO vows to triple revenue over the three years, which currently sits at $95 million annually.
The contract with diary manufacturer Pamalat will see Costa manage distribution centres, pick-and-pack food stuffs and distribute throughout New South Wales.
The Simplot deal, which commences next month, is a similar arrangement but more focused on local distribution throughout Victoria, Bolam says.
Bolam says his ambitious plan is in-line with the Costa Group strategy to grow locally and internationally.
