Toll 'moving on' from Brambles deal hopes

Proposed partnership between Toll and Brambles now dead, according to Toll boss Paul Little

Any potential tie-up between logistics heavyweights Toll Holdings and Brambles is all but dead, according to Toll Chief Executive Paul Little.

Little told journalists in New York on Monday his company had "moved on" from a possible deal.

According to Dow Jones Newswires, Little says Brambles' failure to comply with Toll’s suggestions was the final straw.

"We were only ever interested in Brambles had Brambles been of the mind that by joining forces with our company that the two could create a better value offering in the marketplace," Little says.

"We believe Brambles are not of that view and we're quite happy to accept that outcome and move on."

Brambles did not respond to requests from ATN today to provide a statement on the relationship.
