CEVA Logistics has won a new freight logistics contract with oilfield service company Baker Hughes.

CEVA will manage all freight transport, container de-stuffing and freight transport within Australasia for the company, which provides equipment and services to drill, evaluate and produce oil and gas wells.

The company will also be responsible for line haul operations along the Western Australian coast, drill bit cleaning and preparation, and a range of wharf services including break bulk.

CEVA Australia Managing Director Howard Critchley says the contract, to be managed out of Perth, boosts the company’s profile in the oil and gas spare parts sector.

He says it "further enhances the company’s sector presence and regional capabilities".
