Submissions open for Queensland's T&L Industry Development Awards, with new recognition for mature-aged

Submissions are now open for Queensland’s T&L Industry Development Awards, with new recognition for mature-aged industry workers.

The annual awards are presented by the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia in conjunction with the Australian Logistics Council, APICS, CIPSA, the Department of Transport and Main Roads and the Strategix Training Group.

The new category, the T&L Experience Pays Award, is designed to provide incentive and recognition for mature-age individuals working in the transport, supply chain and logistics sectors, organisers say.

Two awards will be presented, for those who have been in the industry for more than 10 years and less than 10 years, with entries open for anyone over 45 years of age.

Other awards including the Industry Futures Award, for a company providing the best career pathway for workers, and the Future Leaders Award for leaders within the sector.

Award entries must be received by July 3. Submission forms are available by e-mailing qld@sclaa.com.au.

The awards will be presented at a gala dinner in Brisbane on August 27.
