Qantas claims 6th in global air cargo survey

Qantas Freight named world’s sixth-best cargo carrying airline, outclassing FedEx and British Airways

Qantas Freight has been named the world’s sixth-best cargo carrying airline, outclassing renowned freight carriers like FedEx, British Airways and Delta Carriers.

The annual Air Cargo Excellence survey asks forwarding customers to evaluate each airline in four categories: value, information technology, customer service and performance and conducts an overall score from all information collected.

Qantas scored a total of 119.3 points, nine points behind overall winner Emirates Sky Cargo and improving its position on the table from 34th. The value provided to customers by the airline was the main cause for the charge up the table.

“Another airline impressing forwarders is Qantas Cargo, that moved from 34th place to 6th with a huge leap in value points from 101 to 117,” a statement from United States-based Air Cargo World, the organisation behind the survey, says.

The top ten cargo carriers as featured in the final results of the survey are: Emirates Sky Cargo, Lufthansa, Singapore Airline, KLM, Virgin Atlantic, Qantas, Korean Air, Swiss World Cargo, FedEx Express and Cathay Pacific.
