CILTA pursues supply chain excellence

CILTA looks to dominate the supply chain and transport and logistics industry

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Australia (CILTA) will look to establish itself as the only major international industry organisation to focus on the pursuit of excellence in the supply chain and transport and logistics industry.

The announcement from the group, which has been operating in Australia for almost 75 years, comes as it launches a new service and website on April 3.

Based in every state and territory in the country, CILTA says it will provide benefits to its members to help them learn and grow.

CILTA is promising its members access to national and international transport and logistics news, networking opportunities through functions and events, educational and career advancement potential and professional accreditation through processes such as the allocation of post nominals.

One of the main aims of the new look organisation will be the emphasis on young professionals who are looking to form strong industry connections.

A mentoring program has also been announced to coincide with the launch.

CILTA has also appointed Dani Elwood to the position Business Development Manager, hoping he will help it become the company of choice for people and corporations in the transport and logistics sector.
