Linfox works with Victoria University to skill industry

Linfox works with Victoria University to provide transport and logistics education and research

Linfox will collaborate with Victoria University to provide transport and logistics education and associated research under a new deal.

The logistics giant says it has signed an agreement with the University’s Institute for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ILSCM), gaining access to education courses from a vocation level through to Masters degrees.

Both organisations will also work together on relevant research projects.

ILSCM head Dr Pieter Nagel says the partnership will bring mutual benefits.

"The Institute’s vision is to become the ‘knowledge centre of choice’ for logistics and supply chain management in the Asia Pacific area. With Linfox operating throughout this region, this collaboration will go a long way towards achieving this vision," he says.

"Victoria University and Linfox are working together to improve and enhance the skills of people working in logistics and supply chain management."

Linfox Chairman Peter Fox says the project could lead to further ventures in education and research along with other joint-venture activities through the region.

"Linfox is committed to educating its people and already conducts a vast range of in-house programs through our own Linfox College," he says.

"This agreement extends our commitment to educating our people at all levels of the supply chain industry."
