Crouch takes home the T-Liner

Ron Crouch goes home with a new truck after putting a winning bid on a brand new Freighter T-Liner

It is not often you go to an industry dinner and take home a brand new Freighter T-Liner trailer, but that is exactly what Ron Crouch Transport Managing Director Ron Crouch did recently.

While attending the MaxiTrans dinner at the recent NatRoad conference, Crouch put in the winning bid on a new T-Liner, built specifically for the auction.

Component suppliers including Alcoa Wheel Products, BASF Paints, Beaurepaires, Colrain, Fleetmark, Narva and Arvin Meritor all contributed parts for the trailer.

The T-Liner is well-equipped to withstand the rigours of continued use as well as provide improved operational efficiency, thanks to the extra equipment included in the specification, such as load restraint rated 5-foot-high steel sliding gates, Meritor CS9 suspension and Alcoa alloy wheels, both of which feature reduced tare weight for more payload.

Freighter’s T-Liner was the first curtain sided trailer available to the general market almost 25 years ago, and thanks to continuous improvements over the intervening period, remains the flagship of Freighter’s trailer model range.
