CEVA extends distribution deal with South Pacific Tyres

CEVA Logistics renews national distribution contract with South Pacific Tyres to consolidate supply chain operations of the tyre distributor

CEVA Logistics has renewed its national distribution contract with South Pacific Tyres which will consolidate supply chain operations of the tyre distributor.

CEVA provides warehousing, transport and logistics services to the company, operators of the Beaurepaires, Goodyear Autocare and Dunlop Super Dealer retail channels and distributors of the Goodyear and Dunlop passenger and commercial tyre brands.

The partnership began in 2006 with an agreement to provide warehouse and distribution services of tyres and other products from sites across Australia, including Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

It will now extend to 2013 and provide CEVA with the capability to further consolidate the national supply chain operations of South Pacific Tyres, CEVA boss Howard Critchley says.

He says it is reassuring to know the company’s efforts have been recognised.

“We have succeeded in growing and adapting our service solution while integrating all aspects of South Pacific Tyres logistics chain to ensure that we keep one step ahead of their requirements,” he says.

South Pacific Tyres Australia Chief Executive Judith Swales says the new deal further strengthens a valuable partnership.

“This contract extension is the result of significant improvements in our supply chain offering across both our wholesale and retail businesses over the last two years,” she says.

“South Pacific Tyres takes pride in its advantaged supply chain which helps satisfy our customer requirements as efficiently as possible.

“We are now well placed to drive forward initiatives and continuously improve our offering in partnership with CEVA moving forward.”
