ALC to release infrastructure submission

ALC will next week release the details of its submission to Infrastructure Australia

The Australian Logistics Council will next week release a report into its submission to Infrastructure Austraila, which details a list of port, road and rail investments the government body should support.

The submission is based upon the findings of the ALC’s Supply Chain Blockages report, which identified the top 23 bottlenecks and then listed the top four infrastructure priorities.

The report placed a strong emphasis on rail investment, citing as the most important priority the need to prepare the rail system for future challenges.

The report listed protecting urban freight corridors for access to intermodal terminals, ports and airports as the second priority.

Articulating freight transport plans and consistent regulations were the third and fourth priorities respecitively.
