Western Star, MAN open after-market support centre

Western Star Trucks and MAN Automotive Imports have opened a new Aftermarket Support Centre at Wacol in Queensland

Western Star Trucks Australia and MAN Automotive Imports have officially opened the new Aftermarket Support Centre at Wacol in Queensland next to its existing head office and production facility.

The centre features a 13,000-square-metre Parts Distribution Centre (PDC), the National Centre for Technical Training and office area for Western Star and MAN parts and service personnel.

The move of the PDC to the new Aftermarket Support Centre allows Western Star and MAN to expand the production facility at the existing building to cater for the increasing demand for Western Star trucks and MAN trucks and buses.

Executive Chairman of Transpacific Industries Group Terry Peabody says the faciility will allow the the company to better service the trucking industry.

“The facility truly reflects our commitment to provide industry leading aftermarket support to our customers and dealers,” he says.

“We have a long history and deep commitment to the Australian commercial vehicle industry. This new building, combined with the expanded production facility next door, reaffirms our commitment.

The Aftermarket Support Centre is part of the interchange industrial park which is being developed by Stockland and DeLuca Corporation.
