Freight forwarder Skelton Tomkinson says it will offer greater volume on its international routes through a new logistics partnership

Freight forwarder Skelton Tomkinson says it will offer greater volume on its international routes through a new logistics partnership.

The Brisbane-based group has announced it will recommence a freight cooperation arrangement with global forwarder BEVO Speditions from October 1.

BEVO includes United Kingdom-based forwarders Franck & Tobiesen and Hansen Shipping in the United States.

Skelton Tomkinson’s operations already span the Netherlands, Japan, New Zealand and the USA, with further operations planned for the United Arab Emirates later in the year.

Managing Director Brad Skelton says the new deal provides for complete coverage worldwide.

"The renewed partnership heralds a stronger market position and ability to provide our clients with a greater volume on all routes to and from Australia, North America and Europe," he says.

"The overall professionalism and resources of the four companies will make the arrangement unbeatable in the used equipment market. Each entity also brings an absolute sense of integrity to the table, which will only go toward further strengthening client relationships in the future."

Skelton has offices in Adelaide, Amsterdam, Atlanta, Auckland, Bremen, Brisbane, Houston, London, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Yokohama.
