Coffs Harbour Bypass designs up for comment

NSW releases for public comment designs for the Coffs Harbour Bypass, which is part of the Pacific Highway upgrade

The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) has released for public comment designs for the Coffs Harbour Bypass, which is part of the Pacific Highway upgrade.

The project, funded by the federal and NSW governments, will link the Coffs Harbour central business district to the interchanges at Englands Road and Korora Hill if it goes ahead.

NSW Minister for Roads Michael Daley says the concept designs provide for possible grade-separated interchanges at Englands Road, Coramba Road and Korora Hill.

“A local access road between the southern end of the proposed Sapphire to Woolgoolga upgrade and the Korora Hill interchange would link Sapphire and Korora to this interchange and to the existing highway into Coffs Harbour,” Daley says.

A spokesperson for Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Anthony Albanese says the preferred route, planned in 2004, will improve safety and cut travel times.
