Total commercial finance commitments fell 6.9 percent in May, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, signalling growing caution among businesses.

It has been put down to a drop in both fixed lending commitments and revolving credit commitments; which fell 8.3 and 4.2 percent respectively.

In line with this, the trend series for the value of total personal finance fell 2.5 percent

The total value of owner occupied housing commitments excluding alterations and additions completed the trifecta, decreasing 3.7 percent.
