CRT Group is lauding its green credentials after receiving Environmental Management System certification across its Australian branches

The national logistics company, which incorporates road, rail and sea operations, says the certification recognises CRT’s commitment to sustainability and the focus it places on demonstrating sound environmental strategies.

CRT Chief Executive Cameron Dunn says sustainable practices have been a hallmark of the group for some time.

“CRT Group is not a newcomer to introducing environmentally-sustainable practices, as the foundation of our business has been built on sound intermodal solutions incorporating road, rail and sea,” he says.

The Environmental Management System builds upon previous certifications awarded to CRT, which includes management and occupational health and safety systems.

“We have invested heavily in people, technology and management systems, which along with our certifications to ISO and AS/NZS standards, demonstrates our proactive nature in the core areas of safety, quality and the environment,” Dunn says.

“Our customers and suppliers can be assured they are dealing with a logistics services provider that has clear ‘chain of responsibility’ management, product stewardship protocols and carbon management strategies.”

Dunn says CRT independently audits its systems on a regular basis to ensure they continue to operate according to required standards.
