Trucking Association appoints new corporate relations manager

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has appointed Steve Williamson as its new National Manager Corporate Relations, following an Australia-wide recruitment

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has appointed Steve Williamson as its new National Manager Corporate Relations, following an Australia-wide recruitment campaign.

Before his appointment, Williamson was the project manager at the ATA responsible for delivering the Mobile Education Centre, a state-of-the-art semitrailer that will be filled with interactive displays about road safety and careers in the trucking industry. The MEC will be launched at the 2008 Australian Trucking Convention.

Williamson will continue to have managerial responsibility for the MEC, and will also be responsible for the ATA events team. In addition, he will have a direct role in managing the ATA’s relations with its sponsors and corporate supporters.

Before he joined the ATA in 2007, Williamson was the ACT General Manager of Staging Connections. From 1999 to 2005, he was the Director of Communications, Marketing and Member Services at Engineers Australia.
