Sri Lankan third-party logistics group Logiwiz has set up a joint venture with C J Patel & Co, a leading marketing and distribution company of consumer products in Fiji, to carry out third party logistics business in Fiji and other pacific locations.

The new company, Logiwiz (Fiji) Pvt Ltd, has already commenced operations in four strategically located distribution centers in Fiji islands, Suva (capital city), Kalabo, Lautoka and Labasa and services global brands Nestle, Glaxo, Sanitarium, Mattel, Phillip Morris, Colgate and Kimberly Clark under its roof.

The company intends to expand its business to provide total supply chain solutions to its customers in the south and south-west Pacific region.

Logiwiz was established under Hayleys Advantis, the transportation and logistics arm of Hayleys Group, the Sri Lankan blue chip conglomerate, to offer clients a comprehensive solution in logistics and supply chain management, spanning planning clients supply chains for enhanced speed and reduced cost, to logistics execution services.

The company’s new Fiji-based venture will use RedPrairie’s warehouse management system operated through a web browser interface at the DC from the Logiwiz server in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Randika Perera, Manager of Business Systems and Solutions at Logiwiz, says Logiwiz is proud to be paving its way in to new markets.
