The Australian Trucking Association New South Wales (ATA NSW) has welcomed Jill Lewis as its new manager.

Lewis has spent the last decade working in the timber industry.

She says she is looking forward to bringing her experience to the trucking industry.

“More than 80 percent of all freight is carried from, to or through New South Wales. This is a big industry, and we have an obligation to ensure that the people of NSW are served in a safe, efficient, progressive and environmentally sound manner,” she says.

“The ATA NSW is committed to these issues, and I am looking forward to representing and supporting the NSW trucking industry for the benefit of the millions of people that are relying on us.

“I will work with the NSW Government and departments, other transport organisations and the unions to ensure that we remain an industry we are all proud of.”

Lewis says she will also focus on delivering more deals and better services for members.

“ATA NSW members already save dollars on their diesel through our partnership with BP. I’ll be working hard to get more special deals so our members get even better value for their membership fees,” she says.

“Our membership packages start at about $1.50 per day, so there’s never been a better time to join ATA NSW and share in the benefits.”

ATA NSW is the state representative organisation for road freight transport operators in NSW. It was formed in 2007 by the Australian Trucking Association in partnership with NSW based transport operators.
