Queensland’s Nolan’s Interstate Transport has announced Darren Nolan passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on March 6, 2025.
The operator announced the loss on its Facebook page over the weekend, and paid tribute to his extensive contributions to both the organisation, the wider transport industry, and his family.
“It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Darren Nolan,” the statement reads.
“A beloved son and brother who was a cherished family member of Nolan’s Interstate Transport. The contributions he made to our business are immeasurable and his presence will be missed by all who were privileged to work with him.
“Darren passed away peacefully on the 6th of March 2025 surrounded by family. He leaved behind a wife and daughter.
“Darren was an integral part of our business, and his legacy will remain.
“His knowledge and passion for compliance and workplace health and safety was second to none. Throughout his career, Darren served on several industry boards and was well known and respected throughout the transport industry.”
Nolan’s also delivered details of Darren’s farewell.
“Darren will be farewelled on Saturday, 15th March at 10am at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 15 Maitland Street, Gatton,” it says.
“Following the service please join us for refreshments at the Lockyear Valley Cultural Centre, 34 Lake Apex Drive, Gatton to share memories and celebrate Darren’s life.”
