The Mitchell Shire Council has advised the Department of Transport and Planning is set to temporarily close ramps to the Hume Freeway near Beveridge and Wallan on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 March for essential pavement repairs and investigations.
The closures will take place overnight on both days.
The Hume Freeway outbound off-ramp (Lithgow Street) Beveridge will be fully closed overnight from March 3 at 10pm before re-opening on March 4 at 5am. A detour will be in place via the Northern Highway.
Two ramp closures will be in place overnight on Tuesday 4 March, with both the Hume Freeway outbound on-ramp (Lithgow) and Northern Highway on-ramp to the Hume Freeway Wallan.
The Hume outbound closure will be in place between 10pm on March for to 5am on Wednesday, March 5, with a detour in place via the Donnybrook Road exit.
The southbound on-ramp to the Hume Freeway on the Northern High will be fully closed between 6pm on March 4 to 6am on March 5. A detour will be in place for road users travelling south on the Northern Highway.
Motorists are advised to allow for an extra 15 minutes of travel time while the works are underway.
The speed limit on the Hume Freeway near the sites will be temporarily reduced, while intermittent closures of access to and from the freeway will occur for safety reasons.
Detour routes will be clearly signposted, with dates and times subject to change due to weather conditions.
