Holden recalls Colorado utes

Recall notice calls for Holden utes built in early 2015

GM Holden has recalled a number of 2015 Colorado ute models over a seat belt issue.

According to an Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) notice, the “bolt that holds the front seat belt retractor into the body of the vehicle may not have been correctly tightened during manufacture.”

“If the bolt has not been tightened correctly and the vehicle is involved in accident there may be an increased risk of occupant injury,” the notice says.

Affecting vehicles produced between January 12, 2015 and March 18, 2015 with a VIN number between MMU145DK0FH615256 to MMU148LK0FH624321, the recall covers the Colorado 7 – 7 Seat SUV, Colorado Crew Cab – 5 Seat Utility, Colorado Space Cab – 4 Seat Utility, and Colorado Single Cab – 2 Seat Utility.

Sold nationally, the vehicle’s customers will be contacted by Holden to inform them of the next steps.
