Hino National Skills Contest winners announced

Hino runs contest to test the service, parts and sales skills of its employees.

Hino has announced the winners of its 2014 National Skills Contest recently held in Sydney.

The internal competition aims to award Hino’s best service technician, parts interpreter and sales representative.

Martyn Alexander from Newcastle Hino placed first in the service award, while Ryan Macauley and Andrew Harris, both from CMI Hino Adelaide, took out the top spot in the parts and sales award categories, respectively.

“We want our people to be the best of the best, and we believe providing first-rate training, assessment and development for our staff is vital to the continued success of Hino in Australia,” Hino Australia product support senior manager Greg Bleasel says.

Parts and service contestants competed in practical exercises, while those in the sales category took part in a TV game show-style competition that was hosted by motorsport commentator Greg Rust.

“Everyone at Hino congratulates all the participants for their efforts this year, and we look forward to seeing a few new faces along with some familiar ones at next year’s finals,” Bleasel says.
