Brisbane and Bendigo dealerships take out awards
April 17, 2013
Hino Australia has named its metropolitan and regional dealers of the year for 2012.
Brisbane-based Sci-Fleet Hino took out the metro award, and Bendigo Truck Centre the regional gong.
It is the first time the same two dealers have won the same awards two years in a row.
Hino Australia CEO Steve Lotter says the consecutive wins are impressive in a year of improved truck sales.
“With a lot of trucks passing through the national Hino dealer network it’s a huge achievement to remain on top for a second year running,” Lotter says.
“2012 was an encouraging sales year with a large number of customers returning to the market to replace fleets that were aging prior to the global downturn.
“We saw sales volumes grow 26.5 percent in 2012 over the previous year to a market share of 15.5 percent, up from 13.6 percent.”
The awards are judged on factors including sales performance, spare parts delivery and several criteria related to customer service.
The award for top sales volume in Australia went to WA Hino Sales and Service, while Vanderfield Hino Toowoomba achieved the highest regional sales.
Lotter says the Hino dealer network is well primed for 2013 and is set to “substantially grow” sales across all truck and bus segments throughout the year. ? ?
“We’re cautiously optimistic for another strong year in 2013,” he says.
