Monitoring facility to oversee operations of 70-strong fleet
South Australian linehaul specialist Hi-Trans Express has announced the impending unveiling of a centralised transport control room in Adelaide.
It will be fed real-time visibility through MT Data and Jaix Software to allow it to “view and respond to any safety or operational issues across the country within minutes”.
“We will have leading-edge technology at our fingertips that will enable us to safely monitor and move our core and subcontractor fleet across our national network, 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” the company notes.
The centre will monitor a fleet of about 70 company-owned and contractor vehicles nationally.

“This will create a platform for us to improve our line-haul efficiencies and work smarter with our sub-contractors and company fleet to build a culture of safety and reliability on a national basis,” the company notes.
“The new centre will support our Hi-Trans Express culture of customer centricity which is foremost regarding safety, compliance and on-time delivery.”
New CEO Tony Mellick took over in July and expressed his optimism for the project.
“This is an exciting step for us and we are confident this real-time national linehaul management will enhance our customer experience,” he says.
