Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds is once again partnering with national mental health charity R U OK? for the R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds Industry Day of Action.
The theme of this year’s day, which takes place on May 6, will continue to embrace the theme of ‘Ask R U OK? – No qualifications needed’, to continue to reinforce the fact you don’t need to be a qualified counsellor to ask someone if they are struggling.
“This marks the fourth year running R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds with R U OK?,” Healthy Heads CEO Naomi Frauenfelder says.
“We’re excited to bring back this industry day of action, encouraging the industry to share resources and spread the message while also reminding everyone that, although May 6 prompts us to ask ‘are you ok?’, meaningful conversations should continue throughout the year.
“We want people to understand that they don’t need to be experts to start a conversation about mental health.
“Sometimes just asking ‘are you ok?’ can make all the difference.”
Healthy Heads has launched new and update free resources available here, which are designed to help individuals and organisations plan and promote their own events, share information about mental health awareness and encourage participation in this industry day of action.
Individuals and businesses can also register to become company champions, who receive key campaign updates, tools and support to ensure their events run smoothly.
