Healthy Heads is teaming up with R U OK? once again

Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds and R U OK? are joining forces once again to remind  Australia’s transport, warehousing and logistics sector that regular, meaningful conversations can change lives.

Transport, warehousing and logistics is one of Australia’s largest and most essential workforces, yet SuperFriend research ranks it lowest of 19 industries for workplace mental health.

Frequent exposure to long hours, isolation, fatigue and sustained operational pressure make recurring check-ins critical for building a safer, more supportive workplace culture.

On Tuesday, May 12 2026, the sector will unite for the R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds Day of Action, launching this year’s message: Ask R U OK? Any Day.

Supporting a colleague is not a once-a-year activity. It is something that can occur any day, on any shift, in any depot, yard, warehouse or cab.

Healthy Heads CEO Naomi Frauenfelder says embedding everyday conversations into workplace culture is key to prevention.

“When leaders and peers consistently ask, listen, encourage action and check back in, we create safer and more connected workplaces,” she says.

“In an industry that keeps Australia moving, we must also look after the people who keep it moving.”

Organisations across the country are encouraged to nominate a Company Champion to lead activities in their workplace.

Champions play a vital role in building confidence around starting conversations, sharing practical tools, and ensuring mental health remains visible across teams.

This year, Champions will receive enhanced support, including:

  • A comprehensive Champion Kit with practical guides and activation tools
  • Co-branded merchandise to drive visibility on site and start conversations
  • Resources to support the Conversation Cap initiative to spark engagement online and onsite
  • Access to the R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds Champions Connect online information session

Workplaces can now access free digital resources via the Healthy Heads website, including planning guides, conversation tips and activity ideas to support the Day of Action and beyond.

Sign up as a Company Champion, download the free resources at healthyheads.org.au/ruok/ and plan your workplace activation for Tuesday May 12 2026.
