Hartwigs celebrates century of truck dealing

Penske dealer Hartwigs has raised a remarkable milestone and is continuing to serve local Australian customers

Long-standing Penske Australia dealer, Hartwigs, is celebrating 100 years serving south-central NSW, ACT, and northern Victoria truck customers.

Dealer principal Charlie Hartwig says the 100-year milestone for the family business was a testament to his team’s genuine relationships with customers and exceptional products.

“Since my great-great-grandfather first started our business in 1923, the team at Hartwigs has invested time and energy into our customer relationships, obtaining a deep understanding of customer requirements,” he says.

Craig Lee, executive general manager of on-highway at Penske Australia says: “We’ve worked closely with the Hartwig family and team over decades and witnessed first-hand their dedication to customers, ensuring the perfect solution each time.”

“It’s no surprise that the team at Hartwigs has achieved this.”

Representing the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, and Detroit brands, the diesel engine dealer has loyally served customers in Queanbeyan and Shepparton, with their sights set on expansion.

“Over the last year, we’ve launched all-new truck platforms across Western Star and MAN, so our relationship with our dealer network is more critical than ever as customers experience and understand our new product portfolio,” Lee says.

“To this end, we are expanding Hartwigs’ coverage into the Orana and Riverina regions of NSW and the Sunraysia region of Victoria.”

Hartwigs says it is “incredibly proud” to be in this position and is looking forward to growing its services over the next 100 years.

“We are confident that customers will continue to receive exceptional support from the team at Hartwigs, and here’s to the next 100 years,” Lee says.
