Hamelex White Releases Updated Steel Tipper

Trailer manufacturer releases updated steel tip over axle trailer.

Hamelex White has released the “STOA3”, an update to its steel tip over axle trailer. The STOA3 is available in single, B-double or road train configurations, and includes multiple design improvements over the previous model.

Hamelex White claims that the STOA3 is lighter and tougher than the previous model, whilst also having improvements to usability.

“We have engineered this trailer with the customer in mind. Everything from the wheels up was re-considered in order to come up with a ground breaking new design,” Hamelex White general manager Craig Wallace says.

Aesthetically, the trailer has lost the rounded sides of the previous model in favour of a squarer look.

In terms of tare weight, the STOA3 is 250kg lighter than the previous version.

“This has all been without loss of trailer strength. In fact, the new design is actually more robust than the previous model,” Wallace adds.

Other design improvements include the addition of hinged rear mudflaps for ease of use when tipping.

“The hinged design means that the mudflaps automatically fold underneath the trailer when tipping, with no adjustment required from the driver. This means the mudflaps work more effectively out on the road and have increased durability,” Wallace adds.

Hamelex White specialises in tipper trailers, which it manufactures out of Ballarat in Victoria.
