H2X Global takes home AFR Innovative Company award

H2X Global was rewarded for its innovation by the AFR as it looks to release a new hydrogen electric model next year

United H2 Limited has revealed that H2X Global Limited has been rewarded as one of Australia’s most innovative companies at the Australian Financial Review’s (AFR) BOSS awards ceremony.

As a major shareholder in H2X Global, United H2 says it’s proud to see H2X recognised for its cutting-edge hydrogen technology and innovation in a highly competitive process run by the AFR.

The award highlights H2X’s leadership in the hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle sector, validating its plans to scale up production of the Warrego 4×4 and other hydrogen-electric vehicles.

The Warrego will have a top speed of 130km/h and a range of 450km on a single fuel tank, joining H2X’s Paroo light commercial truck that refuels in under 15 minutes and covers 400km on a single tank.

H2X CTO Ian Thompson is driving the innovation after first working as the lead engineer on the first 1,300 Tesla models made.

United H2 says H2X’s technology is providing a commercially viable avenue to decarbonising the transport sector as it works through its $48.5 million order book ahead of a planned public listing in 2025.
