Earlier appointee Boocock accepted external role before transition
Linx Cargo Care Group has appointed Brett Grehan to the Group CEO role, replacing the outgoing Anthony Jones.
Grehan joins the company after 28 years with consultancy McKinsey & Company, most recently as a senior partner.
His history combines commercial and strategic expertise, accumulating strong sector experience in industrials including rail and steel, logistics, telecommunications and private equity, the company lists.
“In these sectors, Brett has worked overseas in cities like London, Atlanta and Mumbai, as well as delivering projects for clients in New Zealand, south east Asia, Hong Kong and China.
“The Linx Cargo Care Group board is pleased to have Brett join Linx CCG in this crucial leadership position where he will, together with the Linx CCG senior leadership team, lead and guide the Group sustainably forward amidst the ever-changing operational and economic landscape.
“Brett’s broad cross-sector experience and valuable insights and perspectives from his many years with McKinsey & Company, will benefit our Group and our position in Australia’s and New Zealand’s logistics supply chains.”

Grehan officially starts on October 25 but has begun working with senior leadership on the transition before Jones’ departure at the end of the month.
Linx had announced Patrick Boocock as the successor in June, but later notified he had resigned to take on a new senior leadership role external to Linx and major shareholder Brookfield in Asia, which will leverage his earlier experience working there.
