Great Western Highway roadworks ready to roll out

Transport operators making use of the Great Western Highway out of Sydney may want to update their scheduling for the next six or seven weeks as road maintenance work begins in earnest at Wentworthville.

From Sunday, March 29 to Thursday, May 14, roadworkers will be on site nightly from 8pm to 5am replacing sections of asphalt and repainting road markings on the eastbound lands of the Great Western Highway between Jones Street and Cumberland Highway.

Work will happen between Sunday and Thursday with lane closures, stop/slow, contra flow and a 40 km/h speed limit in place.

No work will be undertaken over the Easter long weekend.

During the works, anyone keen to access the Wentworthville (Wenty) Leagues is advised to use the Smith Street entrance.
