GrainCorp has come to an agreement with grain solution provider CLEAR to integrate its online warehousing system with the CLEAR online grain exchange.
The integration will allow growers with grain warehoused at GrainCorp sites to sell their products through CLEAR at the time their ‘delivery tickets’ become available within the GrainCorp online stock system.
According to GrainCorp Managing Director Mark Irwin the system integration provides another marketing alternative for growers and increases the value of warehousing grain at GrainCorp sites.
“Growers using CLEAR to sell grain warehoused with GrainCorp can do so with a minimum of fuss all year round, and without the need to manually transfer grain from GrainCorp warehousing,” Irwin says.
Irwin also says the integration is good news for grain buyers as it means there should be more grain available through CLEAR, which creates another efficient channel for transacting with growers.
The GrainCorp and CLEAR systems should become operational during October if all technical and software issues are successful.
