The 12 recipients of heavy vehicle safety funding have been listed by the federal government
Following the recent news that the federal government, in line with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR), will be funding 21 heavy vehicle projects as part of the Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative (HVSI), the government has listed the projects to be funded.
The government says $3.8 million will be invested into 12 heavy vehicle safety initiatives as part of Round 8 of the program, including for roadside health and wellness screening, driver training and increasing vulnerable road user safety.
A further nine projects were selected outside of the original 12 to receive funding as part of a once-off Chain of Responsibility (CoR) training and education project move.
