Wang says dedicated shift service will support small Aussie retailers
Crowd-sourced parcel delivery startup Go People has launched a new adaptable courier service in Australia.
The company says, GoShift, will help support small Australian businesses in a market that is expected to become even more competition upon the arrival of Amazon.
GoShift will enable businesses to hire shift-based dedicated drivers as and when needed, to further streamline their delivery processes while keeping costs down.
The development of the service meant that Go People has further advanced its grouping and routing algorithm to allow assigned couriers to make 10-20 deliveries affordably within a three-hour shift.
Go People founder and CEO Wayne Wang is confident the new service will deliver value to Australian retailers and help them thrive in an ever-competitive market.
“GoShift is a natural extension of our core offering to simplify deliveries,” Wang says.
“The service is ideal for businesses looking to compete with large-scale retailers who dominate the market, such as Amazon, while minimising the costs associated with managing their own delivery services.”
Brisbane City Blooms, a Queensland-based florist business that has been participating in the GoShift pilot program, says the adaptable delivery service has allowed helped its business to consolidate the morning deliveries while reducing monthly costs.
“Switching to GoShift has given us the flexibility to scale with the day’s demand, so we can adjust our delivery needs as necessary. It means one less thing to worry about, and we’re saving thousands on our costs each month,” Brisbane City Blooms florist Nel Gowdy says.
