Globavend Holdings announces MOU to acquire Australian logistics provider

The emerging global e-commerce logistics provider has acquired an Australian one stop logistics solutions company

Emerging e-commerce logistics provider Globavend Holdings has announced it has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) to acquire Top Logistics Australia.

As a key Australian one stop logistics solutions provider, Top Logistics will now enter the Globavend fold, subject to further and ongoing discussions.

Top Logistics is headquartered in Sydney and has a strong presence in Australia that includes warehouses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with space over 15,000 sqm. It specialises in air and sea freight, import, customs clearance, cargo-deconsolidation, packing and fulfilment, transport and logistics and warehousing services.

“The proposed transaction aligns with Globavend’s strategy to solidify its business presence and expansion into Australia,” Globavend CEO Wai Yiu Yau says.

“According to the 2024 Australian Post eCommerce Industry Report, eight in 10 Australian households shopped online in 2023 and 9.5 million households in Australia received a parcel in 2023.

“Australia has spent $63.6 billion in 2023 in shopping online. Given the market presence Top Logistics has, we believe the proposed acquisition will further boost our business performance and help our business to thrive in future.”

Globavend provides end-to-end logistics solutions in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand, with its customers primarily being e-commerce merchants or operators of e-commerce platforms.
