In an online story on 16 November titled “Toll Inks Five-Year Coles Deal for Two States” we included a quote from the secretary of the Transport Workers Union, Michael Kaine, which suggested that in awarding the Five-Year Deal to Toll, Coles had made a leap forward for safety, and that the Deal was made in order to bolster the safety of its supply chains after reaching an agreement with the TWU. These statements may have suggested that Coles’ incumbent transport provider, Glen Cameron Group, provided services to Coles which were not safe, and that this was the reason the Deal was awarded to Toll. We are advised and accept that there is no basis for that suggestion. We apologise to the Glen Cameron Group and retract any suggestion that Glen Cameron Group provided unsafe transport services to Coles.
