Get involved in Healthy Heads’ National Day of Action

Less than one month remains until this year’s R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds initiative

The clock is counting down to get involved in this year’s R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds initiative, with less than one month remaining until the National Day of Action.

This year’s theme of ‘Ask R U OK? – No qualifications needed” is aiming to highlight the fact you don’t need to be an expert to check in on your colleagues and friends. It can be as simple as asking ‘are you ok?’.

Resources to get involved with the campaign are available here.

2025 marks the fourth year running Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds has collaborated with R U OK? for the initiative.

“We’re excited to bring back this industry day of action, encouraging the industry to share resources and spread the message while also reminding everyone that, although May 6 prompts us to ask ‘are you ok?’, meaningful conversations should continue throughout the year,” Healthy Heads CEO Naomi Frauenfelder says.

“We want people to understand that they don’t need to be experts to start a conversation about mental health.”

The initiative is about supporting those working in the road transport, warehousing and logistics sector to feel confident to have genuine conversations and know where to turn if further help is needed.

“We spend so much time with people at work, which makes us well-placed to pick up on the signs someone might be struggling by having regular, meaningful conversations,” Healthy Heads says.

Individuals and businesses can also register to become company champions, who receive key campaign updates, tools and support to ensure their events run smoothly.

Healthy Heads in Trucks and Sheds is also set to unveil a new Kenworth at the Brisbane Truck Show.
