Geotab launches generative AI assistant

Geotab Ace has been launched in an early adopter program in the UK, where it has already provided data-driven answers to over 1000 questions

Transportation and asset tracking solution organisation Geotab has launched an early adopter program for the company’s new generative AI (GenAI) assistant, Geotab Ace.

Over 100 companies have signed on to be part of the program to evaluate and provide feedback. Over 1000 customer questions have been provided with data-driven answers through the early adopters’ work with GenAI.

An example of Geotab Ace’s capabilities has been provided in a case study in the form as a response to the question ‘what are my fleet carbon emissions over the past 12 months?’. Geotab Ace would use filters such as data by fuel type, associated emission factors and fuel consumption, while calculating an extensive amount of vehicle data input over the year.

Geotab UK reseller LEVL is one of the partners participating in the early adopter program, and Sales and Marketing Director Andrew Pearce says it has the potential to be a “game-changer” in the customer support space.

“The value this innovation provides is immense, not just for customers but also for us as resellers,” Pearce says.

“Geotab Ace is like having a data analyst in your back pocket, ensuring consistent, high-quality interactions.

“It’s a transformative tool that’s reshaping our customer engagement … Geotab Ace has the potential to be a game-changer in the realm of customer support and efficiency.”

VP of Data and Analytics at Geotab Mike Branch says the early adopter program has been a crucial step in the eventual wider rollout of Geotab Ace.

“Navigating through the world of generative AI has been a learning-rich experience,” Branch says.

“As we continue evolving our focus remains on building upon what we’ve learned to ensure we continue offering trusted insights for our customers.

“The early adopter program is just the beginning. We are thrilled about the value Ace promises and are looking forward to observing the positive impact it will have on the industry.”
