Leading global provider of business, information technology and communications Fujitsu has announced it will expand its Australian SAP portfolio with the purchase of Supply Chain Consulting.
The Supply Chain Consulting product portfolio includes SLIM mid-market ERP solutions, Viewlocity supply chain visibility and optimisation software as well as CarbonView, one of the world’s leading proactive carbon management solutions.
Fujitsu Australia CEO Rod Vawdrey says the acquisition will extend his company’s investment in the SAP segment and will allow customers an “unprecedented” choice from a single provider of services and capabilities in the mid tier.
“By combining Fujitsu and Supply Chain Consulting we have one of the strongest portfolios of SAP solutions, customers and capabilities in Australia and this will globally enhance Fujitsu’s expertise and offerings in this area.”
Vawdrey says the Tokyo-based company, worth a reported US$53 billion in consolidated revenues for the fiscal year ended March 31 2008, will be able to offer more to its clients.
“Our dedicated teams have always focused on business results for our customers,” he says.
“We are now in a position to offer a broader range of solutions and services to support our customer’s investments in SAP throughout their investment lifecycle.”
