CEO of the Australasian Convenience and Petroleum Marketers Association (ACAPMA) Mark McKenzie has tendered his resignation from the role and will step down from Friday 4 July 2025.
ACAPMA is the peak national body representing the interests of the fuel wholesale, distribution and retail industry in Australia.
McKenzie has held the CEO role within ACAPMA for a decade and will continue to support the organisation’s leadership in a part-time, external capacity.
“It has been an absolute privilege to lead ACAPMA over the past decade and to work with such a dedicated board of directors and staff team to serve the businesses operating in the end-stream of the Australian fuel industry,” McKenzie says.
“I am particularly grateful for the unwavering support and counsel of former ACAPMA President Philip Mollineux and current President Wade Death.”
ACAPMA has paid tribute to McKenzie’s leadership of the association over the past ten years, including his establishment and growth of the Asia Pacific Fuel Industry Forum and his management of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Mark for his outstanding contribution to ACAPMA and the broader industry,” President Wade Death says.
“Mark leaves the association with the full respect and appreciation of the ACAPMA board. His leadership, strategic insight and deep commitment to the industry have helped shape the future of Australian fuel retail and wholesale – and we are immensely grateful for his tireless efforts over the past decade.
“We will continue to benefit from his experience, not just during the transition period but for many years to come.”
The recruitment process for McKenzie’s replacement has already started, with Death stating the association hopes to make an announcement regarding the appointment in the near future.
