Warranty offering for Coronado 114 and Argosy trucks has been extended for 2016
American truck manufacturer Freightliner has upped its warranty to four years or 800,000km, making it the longest coverage for any truck from the region.
Covering the cab-over Argosy and Coronado 114 bonneted trucks, Freightliner says the extended warranty offering will be on the table under the end of the year for new customers.
“Freightliner is committed to supporting our customers and their businesses,” Freightliner Australia director Stephen Downes says.
“Offering Australia’s best warranty on any American truck is a good example of that commitment.”
Freightliner says should an issue occur it also has extended service network coverage in Australia with over 40 locations.
“We are confident in our product and we want new customers to be able to share our confidence by knowing the truck is covered in the rare event there is an issue,” Downes says.
While all vehicles are covered by the company’s one year/unlimited kilometre warranty, Freightliner’s extended warranty program adds further coverage in two parts.
“The first is the basic complimentary extended warranty for three years/800,000km, which incorporates the components originally covered by the basic vehicle warranty,” Freightliner says.
“There is also the drivetrain component complimentary extended warranty for two years/800,000km, which covers such items as the transmission, clutch, driving axles and more.”
Engine coverage is not included in the program as its warranty falls at the feet of the engine manufacturer; either Detroit or Cummins.
Freightliner says further details and exclusions can be explained by a dealership.
