Global transport and logistics company FedEx has announced the appointment of a new executive vice president of its planning, engineering and transformation division.
Effective from October 1, Kawal Preet, formerly regional president of FedEx’s APAC region, was elevated to the new role, reporting to FedEx president and CEO Raj Subramaniam.
The shift sees Preet become the newest member of FedEx’s executive committee after having served as the APAC regional president since 2020.
The role saw Preet lead the region to new opportunities while navigating multiple unique and unprecedented circumstances around the pandemic.
Throughout her 28-year career, Preet has experience in various operations, planning and engineering roles.
In her role leading the transformation office, Preet will be responsible for FedEx’s DRIVE framework and initiatives that have become a way of working at FedEx. She’ll also oversee a global centralised planning and engineering function that will focus on network integration.
“With her institutional knowledge and industry expertise, Kawal’s leadership in this new role will enable a holistic approach to our DRIVE transformation efforts that are creating long-term value for our customers, team members and stockholders,” Subramaniam says.
“Her collaborative, thoughtful approach and commitment to excellence will further our progress toward a global integrated network as she leads a centralised planning and engineering team.”
A successor for the regional president of APAC position will be named at a future date.
